2025–2028 Vancouver Opera Agreement Ratified
Equity is pleased to announce the Vancouver Opera Agreement (VOA) has been ratified. Thank you to all who voted!
Eligible members of Equity voted 100% in support of the proposed changes to the VOA with a voting return rate of 35%.
The new agreement includes a 9.5% increase in fees over the life of the agreement as well as additional key fee increases. Other improvements include better provisions for stage managers, assistant stage managers, and chorus singers, as well as stronger language with respect to working conditions.
The ratified terms of the VOA comes into effect immediately, retroactive to July 1, 2025.
