Canadian Theatre Agreement
The Canadian Theatre Agreement (CTA) is negotiated between Equity and the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT). Professional theatre companies across Canada that are members of PACT are signatory to the CTA.
The CTA consists of two components: the CTA Material Terms and the CTA Minimum Fee Booklet.
The current CTA expires June 20, 2027.

- The Engager’s responsibility to ensure a safe and respectful workplace
- The Artist’s responsibility to conduct themself professionally
- Minimum fees and an Artist’s right to negotiate
- Working conditions specific to each stage of the production process and to each artistic discipline
