Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA), Article 55:00 in the ITA, contains specific provisions for productions that are intended for school (pre-school, primary, or secondary) audiences – either travelling to schools for performances or having students in the theatre.
The Theatre must submit to Equity a description of its proposed productions or season, including performance schedules, and must notify Equity of any change to the original plan.
Under TYA, a Company Category Calculation form is only required for Non-touring Productions. It must be completed and submitted along with all supporting documentation with Equity before you issue any contracts.
Artists’ fees for Touring Productions are specified in the TYA section.
