The current agreement expires January 2, 2028.

Engagers are responsible for maintaining safe and respectful workplaces. The Engager has a further obligation to provide workers with a recourse for raising concerns without fear of reprisal and to promptly investigate any safety concerns or incidents of inappropriate behaviour in the workplace.

The Second City — known for groundbreaking improv comedy — first opened its doors in Chicago in the winter of 1959. The Second City Toronto followed in 1972 and quickly became a launch pad for some of the funniest people in history, including John Candy, Eugene Levy, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, and Mike Myers.
Equity’s first collective agreement with The Second City was negotiated in 2019.
