Dues Remission

Dues remission is intended to recognize a member’s longevity in the industry and longstanding commitment to their Association as a dues paying member of Equity. Equity members on dues remission no longer have to pay basic dues.

Members on dues remission still continue to pay working dues to the Association.

Eligibility

There are three criteria you must meet to become eligible for dues remission:

  • You must be in good standing (fully paid up with Equity) when you apply
  • You must have been in good standing for the ten years immediately prior to applying
  • You must be 65 years old (if you are a stage manager, director, choreographer, fight director, intimacy director, or theatre performer), 55 years old (if you are an opera singer), or 45 years old (if you are a ballet dancer)

Dues Remission is not automatic. If you meet the three criteria above, please contact Equity at membership@caea.com and apply to be placed on dues remission.
