The Dance • Opera • Theatre (DOT) engagement policy allows Equity members to self-engage, upon request to Equity.
An Equity member who is self-engaging is expected to:
- Have a DOT contract that they sign as both Engager and Artist
- Remit the applicable dues and benefits deductions to Equity
An Equity member who is self-engaging is not expected to:
- Provide proof of payment to Equity
- Post security with Equity
- Pay a processing fee for their DOT contract
Equity members who wish to self-engage should contact an Equity Business Rep to discuss the needs of their activity and to ensure all appropriate arrangements are in place.
